As government schools reopened in Bahrain last October, strict guidelines were strictly imposed by the Ministry of Education.
Since opening day on October, only a maximum of nine students are allowed to sit in a classroom.
The Ministry’s Financial Resources and Services Assistant Undersecretary Khaled Al Gharib said that students and staff must comply by the rules of social distancing and the school premises will be well-maintained and sanitized regularly. Distance learning will also be offered as an option for students.
School timings will remain the same and student breaks in the classrooms will be supervised by the teachers, except for students in the primary school and those with special needs.
Additional learning spaces with strict social distancing guidelines of at least one and a half meters between the children will be allocated in case more students opt to come to school. Body temperature will also be taken whenever student enter the school bus and the school premises.
The Ministry’s Financial Resources and Services Assistant Undersecretary said that the health and safety of students and members of the administrative, educational and technical bodies is a top priority and that the Ministry of Education spares no effort in preserving it.
