On our list are some of the best education apps in the market, all designed to keep the kids
learning and at the same time well entertained. While some are free, others are only free on a short-term basis. Some of these apps are best for kindergartners and early elementary
schoolers while some are suitable for older children. These apps cover a wide range of
entertainment and educational offerings but each one highlights a child’s need for socialization
— and unleashing creativity!

Hopster Coding Safari

Hopster Coding Safari app has great visuals and an easy-to-grasp structure that is ideal for
children. It is designed with a path from pieces with different twists and turns wherein adorable woodland creatures can navigate from one spot to another. Of course, the path gets more complicated as one moves up to the next level. The aps is ideal for children ages four and up.

Prodigy

Prodigy is the kind of which blends an exciting story with the wonders of math. A child starts by customizing a wizard, then moves on to battling monsters. The kinds of math problems one must solve are based on the level a child selects in the beginning. Someone from the fourth grade level might encounter questions about trapezoids or how tell time on a clock before successfully casting a spell. BrainPop and BrainPop Jr. is a well-organized and easy to navigate app that covers a wide
variety of topics, with science videos that showcase the life cycle of plants, temperature,
hibernation, potential energy or metabolism; and follow-up activities like quizzes. It covers a
wide range of subjects including math, science, social studies, art and music, health,

engineering, technology and English. A subscription is required but it offers free access to its
content during school closures. It is designed for kindergarteners through third graders; as well as for older elementary and middle school students.

PBS Kids Games

PBS apps features lovable characters such as Molly of Denali, Sesame Street, or Clifford the Big Red Dog, all of which help children learn and identify shapes, count, or explore a museum. The apps comes with a “grownups button,” and provide an age range and goals the games focus on, like social and emotional growth, literacy, science, reading, math, social and emotional growth, creativity, music or social studies. It is ideal for children ages two to six.

Khan Academy Kids

Khan Academy offers learning for kids in diverse categories including ancient civilizations,
languages, cryptography, branches of government, cosmology. The apps is ideal for ages two to six; and for older kids through high school. The younger ones can opt for coloring and drawing, engage in reading, math, logic activities, social learning and even watch videos about other subjects. older students can learn about economics, computing, and arts and humanities which includes grammar and history. Everything is accessible from the library menu, and a progress tracker enables students to track their learning progress per topic.

Moose Math App

This math-focused app features kids who help a burly moose and his friends do various tasks
around town; and use counting to help make juice or find hidden animals. There’s a game
